Information Services
Document Delivery
For members of the Pacific Islands document delivery is available for the Journal Literature Search and PRAISE Pages services. For the Journal Literature Search Service, returned results should be reviewed and desired items marked. This marked list is then returned to PRAISE and you will be sent instructions on how articles from any journals included in our print or electronic collections will be sent. This service is limited to journal or proceedings articles and there is no charge for this service. Requests for books cannot be filled.
Journal Literature Search
PRAISE performs literature searches on request. Search requests must be on specific topics. Requests on general topics, i.e."How do I grow shrimp?", are beyond the scope of this service. The primary sources used for these searches are the Aquatic Science and Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA), Agricola, Biological Abstracts, Zoological Record and CAB databases. Requests are accepted via postal mail, e-mail, fax, phone or walk-in. Every effort is made to turn around requests as quickly as possible. Search request results are in the form of a list of citations and abstracts. Depending on the nature of the search and the number of citations found results may be returned via postal mail, e-mail, fax, or computer disk. All computer files are in ASCII format.

PRAISE Pages
PRAISE periodically compiles a list of journal articles on topics of interest to the aquaculture community. A list of titles from these articles appears in the CTSA publication Regional Notes under the column "PRAISE Pages". Several volumes are available online in pdf and/or html format at the CTSA website. An "*" before the title indicates that the article is available through the PRAISE Document Delivery Service. If you subscribe to Regional Notes and desire a copy of any article(s) please click the Request button below. Those items not available in our collection may often be obtained from your local library.
